As an agent of change and transformation in integrating democracy and its institutions, CONEP is the paramount association of the private business sector in the Dominican Republic, whose mission is to lead the strengthening of the free enterprise system, to promote the economic and social development of the Dominican nation.
 

Pedro Brache

PRESIDENTE

Licenciado en Negocios con especialidad en Finanzas y Contabilidad en Syracuse University y maestría con especialidad en Mercadeo Internacional de la American University.

En 1989 comenzó a laborar en el Grupo Rica, trabajando en diferentes áreas y departamentos tanto de Pasteurizadora Rica como de las demás empresas que componen el Grupo. En 1999 fue nombrado Presidente Ejecutivo Corporativo, cargo que ejerce actualmente.

El señor Brache es Presidente del Consejo de Directores de la Junta Agroempresarial (JAD), y miembro de los Consejos de Administración del Grupo Rica, del Grupo Popular, de la Cámara Americana de Comercio, de la Fundación Juan Ml. Taveras Rodríguez, Inc., y de la Fundación Rica.

Pertenece a Young President’s Organization (YPO), donde fue Chapter Chair del capítulo República Dominicana, así como a las Cámaras de Comercio Británica, Española y Mexicana. Dirige el programa de responsabilidad social Sanar una Nación, y participa también en varias instituciones caritativas.

En el 2013 se integra al Comité Ejecutivo del CONEP como vocal, hasta el año 2015 y pasa a ser Segundo Vicepresidente de la Junta de Directores para el periodo 2015-2017.

 

LIGIA BONETTI
FIRST VICE-PRESIDENT

ECONOMICS GRADUATE FROM WHEATON COLLEGE, Massachusetts. Studied advanced education at Wharton University. Since 1996, has held various positions in SID Group, currently being its Executive President. She was president of AIRD in the 2011-2014 period, an institution in which she has been a member of the National Board and Executive Committee since 2002. She has been involved in social, economic and business institutions standing out for her proposals on economic and institutional reforms.

RAFAEL PAZ
EXECUTIVE VICE-PRESIDENT

HE OBTAINED HIS DEGREE OF DOCTOR IN LAW FROM THE Iberoamericana University (UNIBE), with a Master in Governance and Public Management from the Ortega & Gasset Research Institute, of Madrid, Spain. He studied Political Communication at George Washington University. He also completed the Management of Business Organizations program, sponsored by the International Organization of Employers, INCAE and the ILO. He is member of the Global Shapers Community of the World.

LINA GARCÍA DE BLASCO
THIRD VICE-PRESIDENT

SHE WAS BORN IN THE CITY OF SANTIAGO DE LOS Caballeros. Has a bachelor´s degree in Business Administration from the Pontificia Católica Madre y Maestra University, got a Master´s in Business Administration in APEC and the Universite du Quebec au Montreal. Being a young entrepreneur with great prestige in the business world has earned her many awards. She is president of the Industrialists Association of the Northern Region (AIREN) since 2008. She is Executive Vice President of Envases Antillanos and Member of the Board of Seguros Universal.

CAMPOS DE MOYA
SECRETARY

HE IS AN AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS GRADUATE OF TEXAS A & M University. He is Vice President of Communications and Institutional Relations of INICIA. Has participated in the Councils of: Grupo Financiero BHD, Agua Planeta Azul, Ingenio Cristobal Colón, C X A, CAIE, Listín Diario, Diario Libre Group, ProCom, Escogido Base Ball Club, among others. In 2014, the Government of India appointed him as Honorary Consul General for the Dominican Republic. He is President of the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD), a position he assumed in January 2015.

RAFAEL DEL TORO
TREASURER

HE HOLDS A BACHELOR IN ECONOMICS AND SOCIAL Sciences of the Pedro Henriquez Urena National University. He carried out specialization studies in Monetary and Financial Policy at the International Monetary Fund Institute. In 1986 he joined the Grupo Popular as vice president of Economics and Strategic Planning. He has held various duties in Grupo Popular and its subsidiaries. He is currently Executive Vice President of Internal Management and Compliance of Grupo Popular, SA and Chairman of the Board of Inversiones Popular, Brokerage, SA.

MARISOL VICENS BELLO
VICE SECRETARY

SHE GRADUATED DOCTOR OF LAW AT THE UNIVERSIDAD Iberoamericana (UNIBE). She did a Masters in Civil Law and General Private Law, in the old faculty of law at the Sorbonne, L’Universite de Droit, d’Economie et Sciences Sociales in Paris, France. She is a partner of Headrick Rizik Alvarez & Fernández law firm and consultants since 2000. She has focused her practice in advising national and foreign companies, especially in the areas of corporate law, business, foreign investment, energy law and private law in general.

VICE TREASURER

HE IS DOCTOR OF LAW FROM UNIVERSIDAD Iberoamericana LL.M. University of Miami. Vice President of Administration of Central Romana Corporation, Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee Member of Central Romana Corporation.

HAYDÉE KURET
DIRECTOR

HAS A DEGREE IN PHYSICS from UNPHU. She was Project Manager for PUNTACANA Group, currently holds the Vice Presidency of Hospitality and Human Resources.

JUAN B. VICINI LLUBERES
DIRECTOR

HE IS AN ECONOMIST. Partner and Member of the Strategy and Investment Committee of INICIA, an assets management firm. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banco del Progreso.

DAVID SOARES
DIRECTOR

HOLDS A DEGREE IN commerce and finance from the University of Toronto, a Master in Business Administration. He is General Manager of Barrick Gold Corporation.

JOSÉ TOMÁS CONTRERAS
DIRECTOR

HE IS AN ENGINEER. HE HAS been active in the business world. He is currently the president of ADOZONA, and is a member of multiple business and exporting entities.
